Based in our Barnsley Office, the Operations Analyst will play a crucial role in delivering high quality data, tooling, analytics and execution capabilities that drive the commercial performance and strategic objectives of our assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and support bespoke operational reports.
  • Data collection, manipulation, cleansing and analysis within any Conrad system where data is recorded, collected and stored.
  • Liaising with other data and digital related departments within Conrad Energy to leverage the best possible analysis outcomes for the operations team.
  • Through analysis of available data optimise the efficient and safe running of Conrad's operational assets (Gas, BESS, Wind, Solar).
  • Collate data from various internal and external systems (third‑party SCADA, other publicly available data) and use it to present reports in line with operational requirements.
  • Attend and actively contribute to operational team meetings supplying insight from data analysis.
  • Identify and resolve issues and escalated to management in a timely fashion. This includes both safety observations/near‑misses/NCRs, and technical issues with the plant or concerning trends in the data.
  • Support integration of new technologies or systems into Conrad's data systems such as EAM and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to support their vision and goals, ensuring our capabilities evolve to meet the needs of the business.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Knowledge
  • Essential: A detailed understanding of data manipulation from varied data sources; Ability to produce reports from a complex data set; Presenting data reports to a high standard to all levels of a business; Ability to focus attention for long periods, work under pressure and manage a changing workload in line with operational requirements.
  • Desirable: A working knowledge of high‑speed reciprocating gas engines; Technical Operations background.
Skills
  • Essential: Advanced Excel, PowerBi, SQL, Python, CMMS systems; Support developing operational processes and procedures; Calm under pressure; Able to work as part of a team and under own initiative; Motivated self‑starter.
  • Desirable: Pi Vision software; A knowledge of information technology (IT) and telecommunications in industrial settings such as gas engine software, Team Viewer, Pi Vision, Quartix vehicle tracking and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM); Advanced IT skills, Excel, PowerBi, Python, SQL.
Experience
  • Essential: Data analyst or data focused role in fast‑paced environment/industry.
  • Desirable: Specific experience in the power generation sector in a data based role.
Qualifications
  • Essential: Educated to at least degree level or equivalent, or qualified by experience in a data‑based role.
  • Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in numeric subjects (i.e. data analytics, data science, mathematics, statistics); Engineering qualifications or experience.
