A leading NHS Trust in the United Kingdom is seeking a candidate for an operational leadership role focused on managing healthcare service delivery. This position involves significant line management responsibilities, ensuring patient care meets national standards while supporting a multi-disciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a background in operations within a healthcare setting and demonstrate strong leadership capabilities. The purpose of the role is to provide operational and senior administrative support to services within a clinical group. The role will support the operational delivery of a high quality, efficient and patient-centred service in line with national and local Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
The post holder will provide operational support to the service leadership team in the smooth running of the service. The post will specifically help support the Operations and Performance Manager in the management of administration teams and functions, waiting list management and scheduling of patients to ensure that KPIs and national NHS standards are met, within available resources, ensuring effective patient care within a timely manner.
The role will include line management, provision of complex or sensitive information across a wide range of teams and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to enable delivery of patient care.
