Requirements:

• Strong operational understanding of workplace activities (e.g., manual handling, equipment use, site processes, etc.).
• Experience contributing to or conducting risk assessments.
• Awareness of health, safety, and compliance standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with teams at all levels.
• Good observational skills and a practical approach to problem‑solving.
• Competence in record‑keeping and safety documentation.
• Working Monday to Friday 0800-1600 but flexibility will be required

Responsibilities:

As a Operational Safety & Risk Coordinator, you will:

• Assist in the creation, review, and updating of risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
• Conduct on-site monitoring of operational tasks to ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Identify unsafe conditions or behaviours and support corrective actions by positively engaging with operational teams.
• Work with operational teams to promote a strong safety culture.
• Support incident reporting, near‑miss reporting, and follow-up investigations.
• Ensure documentation is kept accurate and up to date.
• Assist with toolbox talks, briefings, and basic safety training where needed.
• To work closely with management, HR and Corporate Health & Safety.
