Job summary

Medteam is seeking an inspiring Operational Manager to lead a group of nurseries and collaborate with Nursery Managers, staff, children and families to deliver outstanding Early Years provision.

You will drive hands-on operational leadership, coach managers, ensure safeguarding and Ofsted compliance, and support continuous improvement across settings. A strong EYFS background and proactive, people-focused approach are essential for success.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Early Years Education and Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
• Proven leadership and multi-site management experience.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted and safeguarding legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on operational leadership across multiple nursery settings.
• Support Nursery Managers with staffing, rotas, budgets, occupancy and performance.
• Coach, motivate and develop managers and staff to high standards.
• Champion safeguarding, compliance and exceptional Early Years practice.
• Ensure settings meet EYFS, Ofsted and company requirements.
• Lead training and drive meaningful continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Quality Manager and external agencies as needed.
• Support SEND processes, audits, observations and QA.
• Build positive relationships with parents and local communities.
• Step into leadership roles and provide practical support where required.
