The role: Operational Financial Controller

• Partner closely with the Multi-Plant Leader to support operational strategy, efficiency, and performance.
• Lead and develop the Northern Europe Operations Finance Team, managing three finance professionals across multiple countries.
• Deliver accurate, insightful monthly financial reporting, forecasts, and management information that adds value to decision‑making.
• Manage EBITA, NWC, cash flow, and balance sheet forecasting and control.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial controls, governance, and compliance with Group standards.
• Oversee internal audits, ensuring timely completion of all action plans.
• Lead CAPEX planning and post‑completion reviews, ensuring strong ROI and financial discipline.
• Partner cross‑functionally with Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to optimise cost structures and working capital.
• Control operational overheads and ensure robust reconciliations and statutory reporting.

The profile

• Strong background in manufacturing finance and accounting, ideally within an international, multi‑site organisation.
• Proven leadership experience managing and motivating dispersed teams.
• Expert understanding of international accounting standards and manufacturing cost drivers.
• Commercial mindset – able to bridge the gap between operations and finance.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge and support stakeholders constructively.
• A continuous improvement approach and the confidence to lead change.
• Flexibility to travel across Northern Europe as required.
