We are currently looking for an Operational Financial Controller to join us at Wavin. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.

Reporting to the Finance Director – NE BU, the Operational Financial Controller will be responsible for managing the Operations Finance team and the financial accounting & reporting processes of all of the manufacturing sites within the Northern Europe Business Unit, along with Business Partnering to the Multi- Plant Leader of those sites.

  • Support Health and Safety strategy
  • Finance Business Partner to Multi Plant leader
  • Manager of Operations Team for NE BU financial accounting function – 3 team members
  • Integral part of the NE BU Finance Leadership Team
  • Produce accurate monthly financial information that adds value to the business
  • Produce accurate forecasts of EBITA and NWC
  • Lead management reporting process
  • Ensure compliance with Group accounting and compliance policies
  • Drive improvements in the control environment
  • Manage internal audit actions points in accordance with acceptable timelines
  • Preparation and drive of capex projects
  • Preparation of post completion capex projects
  • Produce accurate cash flow forecasts
  • Produce balance sheet forecasts
  • Control operational overhead costs
  • Manage Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Input to the preparation of statutory accounts
The profile

The postholder will possess a good level of energy and must be comfortable with flying as travel is sometimes required. A professional Accountancy Qualification is required, and a degree or equivalent qualification is desirable.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate post qualification education experience in a manufacturing environment and have relevant business acumen.
