Qualifications

  • Operational Excellence experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Operational Excellence programs (e.g. Lean, TPM, 6 Sigma).
  • Project management certification (e.g. AGILE / PRINCE2) desirable.
  • Ability to work in both strategic and operational levels.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership and subject matter expert for performance benefits tracking.
  • Define and manage Business KPI’s (e.g. OEE, yield, UPH).
  • Creator and owner of the OE projects tracking dashboard.
  • Responsible for full life cycle of performance activities.
  • Group owner for line performance systems standards.

Operations Excellence Performance Manager (OpEx)

Location: Flexible base/Hybrid role, ideally Midlands based – Regular Travel Required to Manufacturing Sites across UK.

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 – 17:00, Friday 8:30 – 16:00

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000, plus car allowance

Contract: Permanent, full time

Purpose: To support the Operational Excellence (OE) agenda by ensuring the company has the required Business Performance Management processes in place to drive performance and OE KPI’s, scorecards and tracking processes.

Key Duties
  • Ownership and subject matter expert to ensure robust process for managing performance benefits tracking (capturing all productivity‑capital, performance management, OE projects etc)
  • Responsible for defining, creating, managing and training Priority Business KPI’s (e.g. OEE, yield, UPH, Capacity Utilisation)
  • Creator and owner of the OE projects tracking dashboard to ensure full visibility of opportunity, projects identified, projects completed, flightpaths and gaps for all sites globally
  • Responsible for full life cycle of all performance activities from concept and definition to post training deployment
  • Group owner for standards and configuration definitions of line performance systems ensuring consistency and understanding across the group
  • Creation of Power BI dashboards to give meaningful KPI’s and KPI views at all levels of the business – plant to management board
  • Agree leading KPI’s and create, manage and train across plants including systems developments (Power BI)
  • Create dashboard for OE projects management to ensure we have full visibility from plant upwards of projects and their status
  • Top‑down financial data analysis for categories and plants to highlight opportunities
  • Definition and automation of standard diagnostic reports to identify improvement opportunities across the plant network
  • Overall benefits tracking of benefits driving productivity e.g. operations performance management, capital projects or non‑capital projects
Qualifications and Experience
  • Operational Excellence experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Operational Excellence programs (e.g. Lean, TPM, 6 Sigma) with associated certification (desirable)
  • Project management certification (e.g. AGILE / PRINCE2) desirable
  • Ability to work in both strategic and operational levels
Skills
