Job summary

Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service is seeking an Operational Equipment Technician to join the Technical Team. The role centres on testing, servicing and repairing breathing apparatus and facemasks, and maintaining accurate equipment records.

• Use the Asset Tracking software to label assets and track locations.
• Identify cost savings across the equipment lifecycle and work with the Watch Manager Technical to deliver them.
• Monitor cleanliness, maintenance and record keeping across the Service and report adverse findings to the line manager.
