Job summary

Metropolitan Police is seeking an Operational Engineering Co‑ordinator to support frontline policing through the planning, coordinating and delivery of temporary CCTV deployments. You will join a specialist engineering team of around 50, working within a subgroup of ten engineers to manage resources across London.

This role combines hands-on technical work with supervisory responsibilities, requiring a full UK driving license, willingness to obtain MV/SC clearance, and flexibility to work

Qualifications

• Technical background in engineering or related field.
• Experience with electrical installation, testing and inspection.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective collaboration with internal teams, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain MV/SC security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate resources, equipment and deployment activity across London.
