Operational Coordinator – Integrated Community Equipment Services

Ceredigion Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) are looking to recruit an Operational Coordinator. ICES fulfills a key role in the provision of care in the community by supplying important medical equipment to residents who need support. This helps to prevent hospital and care home admissions, expedites discharge, and supports people’s independence in their own home.

About the role

The successful candidate will be a key member of the management team in ICES, they will be the first line manager for five members of staff, and second line manager for two others. The role will also involve deputising for the Team Manager when they are not available, managing the day-to-day running of the service, chairing meetings, and occasionally attending regional or national forums.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Oversee the logistical operations of the service
  • Make key decisions on prioritising tasks and operational issues
  • Offer advice and guidance to other professionals
  • Oversee the safe running of a busy warehouse
  • Attend meetings discussing the daily operations and strategic plans for the service

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced individual, some of the characteristics we will be looking for are:

  • The ability to be innovative and creative in solving problems
  • An aptitude for organising and planning
  • Someone who is passionate about supervising and supporting staff
  • The ability to establish effective working relationships with a wide range of agencies and individuals
  • Skills and experience in compiling accurate records and reports
