Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Operating Department Practitioner or Anaesthetic Nurse for permanent full-time work across our theatres at Southend and other sites. The role includes on-call commitments and weekend/night work. Salary is £32,073 per annum (pro rata for part-time).

Mid and South Essex Trust are looking to recruit Theatre Practitioners across all of our hospital sites and specialties.

We are looking for enthusiastic Registered Nurses/ODPs with sound clinical knowledge with Anaesthetic Skills to develop in your role.

Main duties of the job

Our Theatre Practitioners work towards providing high quality patient care within the perioperative setting. We welcome both experience and non-experience staff to join our supportive team. Training can also be provided to support newly registered operating department practitioners looking for a new career direction.

Therefore, experience of team work, team values and safe patient care is very important to this role.
