Introduction

A new opportunity is available for an experienced OpenShift Automation Developer to support the delivery of advanced automation solutions across container platform environments.

Job Responsibilities / Objectives

• The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining automation capabilities that improve how OpenShift infrastructure is deployed and managed.
• Create automation scripts, workflows, and frameworks for OpenShift cluster provisioning, scaling, and life cycle operations.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Ansible and Terraform to standardise infrastructure deployment.
• Automate patching, upgrades, configuration changes, and compliance checks within OpenShift environments.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and enable API-driven automation for containerised applications.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and performance optimisation measures to ensure automation processes are secure, reliable, and scalable.
• Collaborate with platform architects, administrators, and engineering teams to test and validate automation across development, test, and production environments.

Required Skills / Experience

• Strong hands‑on experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes automation.
• Proficiency with automation and IaC tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Bash.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tooling (eg, Jenkins, GitLab, or similar).
• Understanding of container orchestration concepts including networking, storage, and security.

Desirable Skills / Experience

• Background working in large‑scale or complex technical environments.
• Familiarity with IT security standards and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring and alerting tools.
