Job summary

Lee Valley Regional Park Authority is seeking a hands-on Ranger Support Officer to help manage waterbodies and licensed fisheries as part of the Open Spaces team. The role focuses on day-to-day operational and technical issues, vehicle and equipment logs, and fisheries licencee management.

Based in Waltham Abbey, Essex, you should have angling experience and proven conservation management skills, plus a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Angling background with hands-on conservation experience.
• Full clean driving licence; categories B+E preferable; experience driving large vehicles and towing trailers.

Responsibilities

• Assist Ranger Service Manager with day-to-day management of waterbodies and licensed fisheries.
• Oversee vehicle and equipment logs and sourcing; monitor compliance with Byelaw and fisheries requirements.
• Liaise with anglers, licensees, and public; support biodiversity and park development framework goals.
• Handle operational issues for open spaces and fisheries and support Byelaw enforcement.
