A leading research-intensive university in the UK is seeking an Open Access Adviser. This part-time, permanent role focuses on enhancing the visibility of research publications and requires a degree or equivalent. We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, self‑motivated and highly organised colleague to join the Library’s well regarded, friendly Open Research team. This post is focused on Open Access, a major aspect of Open Research.
As a part‑time, permanent post, the Open Access Adviser will work with academic and professional services stakeholders to maximise the visibility and reputation of the University’s research publications. They will report on the completeness of the University’s publications repository, identifying missing publications and devising solutions. They will ensure that researchers’ profiles are up‑to‑date in bibliographic tools and databases. Together with the Research Publications Adviser, they will enable researchers to achieve Open Access, providing expert advice and training and approving funding requests for Open Access publishing charges.

This is a 0.5 FTE, permanent professional services post. It requires 17.5 hours per week to be worked in no less than three days per week throughout the year. One of the days worked should be a Tuesday or a Wednesday. It is a campus based role.
