Job summary

Search is seeking a Traffic Marshall in Dunfermline for an asap start. The role focuses on coordinating drivers and plant operators, controlling site access, and guiding vehicle movements to maintain safety on a busy site.

A solid track record in traffic marshalling and strong health and safety awareness are essential. Ideal candidates will be experienced directing HGVs and site vehicles, with excellent communication skills to challenge unsafe practices.

Qualifications

• Valid NPORS and CPCS qualifications are essential.
• Experience as Traffic Marshall, Banksman or Site Labourer is desirable.
• Strong awareness of construction site health and safety.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge unsafe practices.
• Experience directing HGVs, plant and site vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Act as the key point of communication between drivers, plant operators and site teams.
• Manage site entrances and exits, ensuring vehicles enter and leave safely.
• Assist with vehicle manoeuvring and reversing operations.
• Maintain safe separation between pedestrians, vehicles and moving plant.
• Support with general site duties when traffic management is not required.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures.
• Report hazards, incidents or unsafe practices to the Site Manager or Supervisor.
• Work closely with HGV drivers, plant operators and groundworkers in a busy onsite environment.
