Job summary

Babcock International is seeking an Environmental and Sustainability Practitioner at Devonport Royal Dockyard in Plymouth. The role focuses on driving environmental excellence across a portfolio of construction projects and estate management activities, shaping sustainability strategy and reducing environmental risk.

You will lead governance, assurance, and stakeholder collaboration to improve sustainability across projects, with on-site work at Devonport and a 35-hour week.

Qualifications

• Level 6 qualification in Environmental Management or related field.
• Level 3 qualification in Health and Safety Management.
• Experience in a construction/CDM environment.
• Membership of Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals.

Responsibilities

• Support construction and estate teams to reduce environmental risk and improve sustainability performance.
• Manage environmental permits, licences and compliance requirements across facilities and operations.
• Undertake environmental assurance activities and monitor adherence to standards and regulations.
• Develop and implement governance frameworks that enhance environmental protection and sustainability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive continual improvement across projects and estate operations.
