Avantor is seeking a Site Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our services team at a key customer site in Stevenage. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure seamless delivery of high-quality services in a pharmaceutical environment by managing health and safety compliance, staff training, and operational performance. You'll be the go‑to person for coordinating with senior stakeholders, suppliers, and the scientific community—keeping everything running smoothly and efficiently. The role itself is a full‑time, permanent role at our customer`s site in Stevenage.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and Inspire: Direct team efforts and deliver services aligned with customer requirements. Motivate and mentor team members to exceed goals and foster professional growth.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Manage open order status reports, metrics, SOP/SOW maintenance, and ensure KPI achievement.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain GxP standards and Good Documentation Practices while creating and updating SOPs, SOWs, and KPIs.
  • Develop Talent: Provide training, coaching, and succession planning. Handle performance appraisals, scheduling, and administrative duties.
  • Collaborate: Act as a liaison between the customer, Avantor Services, and Avantor Sales to ensure seamless communication and service continuity.
  • Add Value: Bring industry insights and best practices to enhance customer experience.
  • Perform Other Duties: Support additional tasks as assigned to meet operational needs.
