Job description
Occupational Health Technician – Onsite Role (Jersey )

Salary: Competitive (DOE)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (typically 8am – 6pm)
Location: Onsite with occassional visits to other client sites in Jersey.

OH Medical is delighted to be working in partnership with one of the UK’s leading Occupational Health and Wellbeing providers to recruit an Occupational Health Technician. Key Responsibilities

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and proactive individual to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary Occupational Health team. You’ll be delivering high-quality health screening and surveillance services at the client site in Jersey, with occasional travel other client locations in Jersey. You will receive full training, ongoing mentoring, and the chance to build a rewarding career within a supportive, forward-thinking organisation. Your duties will include:

  • Carry out health screening procedures including height, weight, blood pressure, urinalysis, audiometry, and lung function testing.

  • Conduct drug and alcohol testing, ensuring full adherence to chain of custody procedures.

  • Accurately record medical data in occupational health records for clinical review.

  • Support with PTS medicals and assist with general clinic duties such as filing and maintaining equipment.

  • Follow all clinical protocols, working within your competence and escalating appropriately.

  • You will utilise your own vehicle to visit client sites.

About You

We’re looking for either an experienced Occupational Health Technician or someone with a strong foundation in health or wellbeing and an enthusiasm for working in occupational health.

Suitable backgrounds include:
  • Health Care Assistant (hospital environment, not care home/community care)

  • Fitness Instructor

  • Ambulance Technician / EMT

  • Military or Offshore Medic

  • Sports Science graduate

You’ll also need:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong IT literacy and attention to detail

  • A self-motivated, proactive attitude

  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
