Job summary

Airbus Military UK seeks a Finance Assistant to join the Brize Norton team on a 100% onsite basis. You will support the Finance Director and Controller, manage cost control, forecasting, reporting and journal entries, and contribute to month-end processes.

The role requires strong finance fundamentals, stakeholder collaboration, and attention to detail, with 4.5-day patterns and travel as needed. BPSS+ clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Practical finance experience with debits, credits, cash flow and P&L.
• Experience producing cost centre reports, forecasts or financial analysis.
• Confidence explaining financial information to stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail with data and reporting tools.
• Aerospace/defence/MOD sector experience desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Financial Controller with day-to-day financial operations including cost control, forecasting and reporting.
• Maintain and update cost, revenue and cash forecasts across the business.
• Collaborate with operational teams to analyse resource plans and cost impacts.
• Track actual costs and revenues, prepare journals and explain variances.
• Support payroll accounting, invoicing, billing and treasury activities.
• Liaise with procurement to ensure accurate commitments and recording.
• Produce clear financial analyses to support decisions and month-end activities.
