Job summary

Dunbia Group in Bedford is seeking an experienced electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join our onsite team. You will provide skilled support for premises maintenance and machinery repair in a fast-paced meat processing environment.

You will work with the production team, carry out preventive maintenance, fault finding, diagnostics, and contribute to safety, quality and cost improvements while maintaining high housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• BTEC/C&G in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 18th Edition training would be an advantage.
• Post-apprenticeship in food manufacturing desirable.
• Experience in a similar role is essential.
• Competent with electricity and safe electrical work.
• Experience solving electrical issues to resolution.
• Strong organisational skills and deadline discipline.
• Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring plant equipment is operated and functioning correctly.
• Carrying out daily maintenance to keep equipment fit for purpose.
• Upholding housekeeping standards daily.
• Driving improvements to quality, cost and safety.
• Assisting production with machinery problems and setups.
• Fault finding and diagnostics.
• Following a PPM schedule and recording follow-up work.
• Protecting the integrity of the Company through constructive actions.
