Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Storekeeper at Bovington Camp, near Wareham, Dorset, to ensure efficient movement, storage and control of equipment and materials that support military training and operational readiness. You will manage stock, issue equipment and support customers across the site in a busy logistics environment.

The role is onsite at Bovington Camp with a 38-hour week, Monday to Friday, early finish on Friday, and an on-call rota with occasional weekend overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, warehouse, logistics or inventory.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Competent IT skills and MS Office.
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
• Good health and safety understanding.

Responsibilities

• Manage the receipt, issue, return and transfer of goods, equipment and materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using specialist IT systems and manual documentation.
• Conduct stock checks and order stock to ensure availability.
• Operate forklift trucks and company vehicles where authorised.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, security and safe handling of equipment.
