Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Proven experience in Supplier or Quality Engineering within automotive.
• Strong understanding of OEM systems, QA standards, and test plan development.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.
• Mechanical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers/suppliers on new projects to secure Test Plans and authorizations.
• Create a comprehensive Test Plan covering full job requirements.
• Ensure takt time assessment and correct cost matrix reference.
• Update OEM systems with required information.
• Communicate with OEM customer, Inspectors, and Supervisors clearly.
• Maintain clear internal communication within SWJ and OEM teams.
• Notify supervisors of concerns identified during evaluations.
• Support continuous improvement and implement improvement suggestions.
• Assist in additional business activities as required.
• Cover other SQE roles as needed.
