A leading UK grocery retailer is looking for an analytical professional to drive online trade performance. The role includes responsibilities in sales forecasting, campaign planning, and using complex data sets. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in retail and tools like Tableau or Google Analytics. This hybrid position allows flexible home working, making it an attractive opportunity for skilled candidates.
This role focuses on driving online trade performance through onsite analysis, promotional and onsite campaign planning, and strategic insight. Responsible for all online sales forecasts, you will drive the financial planning process, leading on forecasting methodologies, and ensuring annual and weekly sales forecasts are robust, well‑communicated and consider external influences and marketing channel activity. Using your commercial acumen and analytical skills you will set the trade plans and priorities which will be optimised for online customers, setting the direction for all online trade. Working cross‑functionally with Online Marketing, Fulfilment, Commercial teams, online Merchandising and Campaigns, you will deliver these priorities and drive incremental sales for the business through a test‑and‑learn mentality. You will review and communicate online performance against key KPIs, identifying performance issues and opportunities, and communicating them to the wider team to respond to. With an omni mindset, you will understand the nuances between performance across all marketing channels and stores. You are a commercially astute and highly analytical individual, comfortable accessing complex data sets from multiple systems, analysing them, and providing recommendations along with external benchmarks to inform trade planning, campaigns, events and propositions.
Salary: £53,000.00 – £87,000.00
Contract type: Permanent
Working pattern/flexible working: Hybrid – two days in the office with flexible home working as needed.
Location: Hybrid – home location is Bracknell.
