About you

Strong understanding of the GCSE English curriculum

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a UK school setting as a: HLTA
• Cover Supervisor
• Teaching Assistant
• Teacher
• Tutor
• Experience supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Ability to build rapport and adapt teaching strategies to individual learning styles
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective online tuition in GCSE English Language and/or Literature.
• Support students in developing their reading, writing, and analytical skills, while building exam confidence.
• Tailor sessions to meet individual learning needs, interests, and academic goals.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support continued development.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
• Expertise with the Science curriculum
