Overview

Prospero Teaching is looking for a SEND Tutor in or around Salford to provide 1:1 tuition for children with Special Educational Needs or behavioural needs.

As an SEN Tutor, you will create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education and boost engagement and attainment levels. This is a suitable role for an experienced teacher seeking more personalised, enjoyable lessons away from the classroom.

Most pupils in this role may have been out of education for some time, so reengagement and providing structure back into their daily routine are part of the responsibilities. Prospero Teaching will monitor progression with each pupil and support effective learning.

• Location: Salford

• Rate of pay: GBP25 per hour through an Umbrella Company

Experience, training and qualifications

• QTS, QTL S, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
• 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
• Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable but not essential)
• Experience working with SEND or similar

Eligibility through Prospero Teaching

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
