Job summary

Quantum Scholars is seeking a patient and experienced AP/EOTAS English Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one English tuition in Wokingham. The role supports a learner accessing alternative provision or EOTAS and focuses on building academic progress, confidence and engagement.

The tutor will adapt teaching methods and pace to meet individual needs, support GCSE preparation where relevant, and collaborate with families and professionals to monitor progress and safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong English subject knowledge at secondary level.
• Experience supporting children or young people in AP/EOTAS or similar settings.
• Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH learners is highly desirable.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to individual learning needs.
• Experience providing one-to-one support is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised one-to-one English tuition to a learner in EOTAS/Alternative Provision.
• Support GCSE preparation where appropriate.
• Develop reading, writing, comprehension, spelling, grammar and vocabulary skills.
