Job summary

Northampton General Hospital seeks a Specialist Pharmacist to join the Cancer Services team. You will deliver expert clinical pharmacy to oncology and haematology patients, support inpatients and day case clinics, and contribute to trials and electronic prescribing.

The role requires a Masters in Pharmacy, postgraduate clinical qualification, and GPhC registration, with experience in oncology/haematology and staff training.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Pharmacy and postgraduate clinical qualification or equivalent knowledge.
• CPD portfolio and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Experience in clinical pharmacy, especially oncology/haematology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist clinical pharmacy service to adult and paediatric oncology and haematology patients.
• Support inpatients on the cancer ward and oncology clinics, with drug reviews and prescribing where authorised.
• Participate in clinical trials, audits, and development of chemotherapy electronic prescribing.
• Counsel patients on oral anti-cancer medicines and support staff training.
