The post involves assessing patients for Systemic Anti‑Cancer Therapy, managing side effects, and working within a multidisciplinary team to optimise treatment pathways.

You will engage in professional development including non‑medical prescribing, PACR, and PADRAP, supported by a structured induction and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Nurse practitioner role in oncology/SACT requiring current NMC registration.
• Experience with cancer treatment pathways and managing treatment-related side effects.
• Non-medical prescribing or independent prescribing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient fitness for Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) through comprehensive assessments.
• Manage treatment-related side effects and monitor patient safety during therapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and evaluate complex care plans.
• Engage in professional development including PACR, PADRAP, and local competencies.
• Participate in audits, research projects, and implement evidence-based changes.
