Job summary

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Staff Nurse for the Private Patient Medical Day Unit and Outpatient department at Cavendish Square, London. The post is offered on a one-year fixed-term basis with no night shifts or weekend work.

You will be a 1st level registered nurse with oncology experience, skilled in IV medications and chemotherapy administration, cannulation and venepuncture.

Qualifications

• 1st level registered nurse with NHS/clinical setting experience.
• Oncology experience is essential for this role.
• Experience in administration of IV medications and chemotherapy.
• Candiate training provided for IV cannulation and venepuncture.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise a shift with the multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver care to patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy (SACT).
• Exercise clinical judgment and plan evidence-based nursing care.
• Document care and support staff to ensure high standards.
• Assist with phlebotomy, CVAD access and venepuncture when needed.
• Coordinate care across Outpatient and Medical Day Unit settings.
• Promote a safe environment and participate in quality initiatives.
• Support flexible working and collaboration across sites.
