Job summary

South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Cancer Prehabilitation Service. The post supports oncology prehabilitation across cancer pathways and will initially focus on colorectal cancer, delivering evidence-based assessment, exercise prescription and rehabilitation to optimise treatment readiness and recovery.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, provide face-to-face and virtual interventions, contribute to service

Qualifications

• BSc Physiotherapy with HCPC registration required.
• Commitment to CPD and reflective practice.
• Understanding of oncology prehabilitation and rehabilitation.
• Experience in NHS settings and working within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist physiotherapy assessment, treatment and exercise prescription for cancer patients.
• Deliver face-to-face and telephone/virtual interventions within prehabilitation pathways.
• Develop personalised exercise and rehabilitation programmes and collect outcomes.
• Support education and workforce development within the service.
