Qualifications

  • Provide highly specialised, complex, evidence‑based pharmacy care to haematology/oncology patients.
  • Support healthcare professionals in the effective management of Systemic Anti‑Cancer Therapies (SACT).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Consultants to review new SACT protocols.
  • Verify prescriptions for SACT and supportive treatments.
  • Oversee ordering, storage, supply, and billing of SACT.
  • Provide specialist input into patient information regarding SACT treatment.
  • Assist in implementing corporate SACT policies and training.

Skills

Clinical pharmacy services in haematology/oncology
Appraisal of new medicines
Delivery of training to pharmacy staff
Experience in audit and incident review
Training delivery to cancer services pharmacy staff
Familiarity with EPMA systems
Peer review experience in cancer pharmacy services
Practising as an Independent Prescriber (IP)

Education

MPharm or equivalent
GPhC registered pharmacist
Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy
BOPA SACT Verification Passport
IP qualification (or working towards it)
Member of BOPA
