Job description
Job Title: Oncology Manager

Location: Guildford Hospital

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage our Oncology Day Unit and oversee other cancer-related services at the hospital.
  2. Lead, motivate, educate, and supervise nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
  3. Support colleagues in delivering effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  4. Influence service development, policies, and strategies to enhance patient-focused, holistic treatment and care.
  5. Contribute to audits, clinical governance, infection prevention, health and safety, and risk management.
  6. Build strong relationships with consultants, senior leaders, healthcare professionals, and patients.
Candidate Requirements:

Extensive knowledge of managing Oncology patients—from diagnosis to systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT) and end-of-life care.

At least four years of senior experience in oncology nursing or management.

Postgraduate qualification in Oncology, with additional qualifications in teaching or assessment preferred.
