Job summary
Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for an Oncology Day Unit Manager covering Alnwick and Berwick. You will lead clinical and operational delivery for patients receiving Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment (SACT), drive service development, and ensure safe, compassionate, high-quality care.
You will collaborate with medical staff, nurses, palliative care, and MDTs to shape services and patient experience.
Qualifications
- Nurse must hold 1st Level Registered Nurse qualification and degree in nursing or equivalent.
- Mentorship/mentoring qualifications preferred.
- Advanced clinical skills qualifications required.
- Non-medical prescribing qualification or willingness to undertake within 18 months.
- IRMER qualification or willingness to undertake.
- Advanced communication qualifications or willingness to undertake.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate continuous clinical care within oncology day units.
- Lead and develop oncology nursing teams.
- Influence service improvement and innovation in cancer care.
- Work across organisational boundaries and MDTs.
- Manage resources and support patient-focused care.
