Overview

Clinical Case Manager-Oncology & Haematology Pre Authorization
Location: London, Corporate
Contract: Permanent, Full time 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: Monday – Friday, 8:00–16:00 or 9:00–17:00

We’re looking for a Clinical Case Manager with senior experience in Inpatient Bedside Nursing (Band 6 or above) within Oncology/Haematology to join the Case Management Team at HCA Healthcare UK. This role involves obtaining pre-authorization for complex cases prior to admission (chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and bone marrow transplant (BMT), among others) and ensuring requests meet national standards and contractual requirements. You will work with third‑party payers to promote quality and cost‑effective patient care, participating in the collaborative process to assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor and evaluate options and services to meet patient health needs.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain pre‑authorization for all complex cases within the service line prior to admission (Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, and Bone Marrow Transplant or related Treatments) and ensure requests meet national standards and contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with third party payers to promote quality and cost‑effective patient care.
  • Engage in the assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of options and services to meet patient health needs.
What you’ll bring
  • Registered nurse with NMC PIN
  • Extensive post‑qualification experience in a hospital setting
  • Experience in utilisation review and extensive discharge planning
  • Oncology/Haematology knowledge or experience
  • Systematic Anti‑Cancer Therapy (SACT) Passport
  • Experience as a Senior Staff Nurse / Band 6 or above
  • Stakeholder management
  • Private Medical Insurance industry exposure (desirable)
  • Excellent communication, organisation and computer skills; proactive problem solver
  • Ability to work independently and within teams
