Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking an experienced Materials Controller for a busy residential development in Dartford on a short-term basis. The role is site-based, ensuring materials are identified, picked and prepared for each plot in line with project schedules.

You will work closely with the Site Management team to review schedules, prepare packs, and ensure materials are available when needed. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating materials on a construction site.
• Ability to read and interpret schedules and plot requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read and work from detailed materials and plot schedules.
• Identify correct materials and quantities for each plot.
• Pick and assemble materials into plot-specific packs/kits.
• Ensure doors, linings, balustrades, skirting, architrave and related materials match each plot.
• Check materials against schedules for accuracy and completeness.
• Organise and label materials for delivery to plots.
• Monitor stock levels and flag shortages or missing items.
• Liaise with Site Management, suppliers and subcontractors on material requirements.
