Job summary

HIto Solutions in Crewe, UK, is seeking a Resident Testing Engineer for Lighting & Comfort Electronics. The role requires on-site work, independent testing, and hands-on troubleshooting of BCMs, ECUs and interior lighting.

You will perform vehicle and bench testing, analyse results, and coordinate with engineering teams. English fluency is mandatory; Italian is a plus. Occasional travel to Italy may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the automotive sector.
• Experience with BCMs, Door ECUs and Climate Control ECUs.
• Practical experience in Comfort Electronics and interior lighting electronics desirable.
• Knowledge of automotive functional architectures and test execution on vehicles/test benches.
• Ability to reproduce technical issues and conduct structured troubleshooting.
• Fluent English; Italian an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Execute functional and component-level tests on vehicles and test benches.
• Analyse test results and prepare clear technical reports.
• Reproduce issues under controlled test conditions and perform root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate testing activities and communicate findings to teams.
• Support ECU flashing, parameterisation and configuration tasks.
• Provide regular project status updates.
