Job summary

Future Engineering Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Lead Planner/Planning Manager to own the master construction programme on a major mission-critical project in Somerset. You will work with senior leadership to drive delivery from construction through commissioning and handover.

The role demands strong on-site presence, expert knowledge of Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject, and hands-on collaboration with project managers, engineers and site teams to secure programme certainty and seamless

Qualifications

Proven experience as lead planner on major construction projects.
Strong knowledge of project controls and planning methodologies.
Willingness to work on site five days a week.

Responsibilities

Ownership and management of the master construction programme.
Working closely with project managers, engineers and site teams to align programme logic with real installation methodology.
Managing design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
Coordinating complex MEP/CSA sequences and interfaces, ensuring programme certainty on a mission-critical project.
Identifying programme risks, constraints and clashes early, and driving practical mitigation strategies.
Tracking progress on site, producing accurate reports and supporting delivery teams to maintain programme integrity.
Supporting and mentoring planners within the project team.
