Job summary

Carmichael UK is seeking a Graduate / Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our major international Tier 1 contractor in the North West. The role is site-based on large-scale projects such as warehouses, factories, commercial and infrastructure developments.

You will work within an established commercial team, gaining exposure to all aspects of quantity surveying while on site. Excellent training, mentoring and clear career progression are offered.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with valuations and applications for payment.
• Support subcontractor accounts and payments management.
• Contribute to cost reporting, forecasting, and CVRs.
• Monitor project costs and budget performance on site.
• Assist with procurement activities and variations.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with stakeholders.
• Support preparation of final accounts.
