BB&E seeks a Construction Engineering Technician to support NAVFAC A&AS contract, on-site at NS Newport, Newport, RI. The role focuses on quality assurance, safety management, and technical support across construction activities for government and private sector projects.

The candidate will coordinate QC programs, witness tests, review documentation, and support field operations to ensure adherence to specifications and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain/maintain security clearances.
• Certification: USACE Construction CQM within 60 days of start date.
• Familiarity with crane safety requirements and NAVFAC P-307.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction quality management for assigned projects.
• Coordinate with Construction Manager on QC plans and approvals.
• Attend meetings and monitor quality control checklists and testing.
