Job summary

Host Student Housing Limited in Cardiff is seeking a full-time Caretaker to join our Livin community. You will ensure a safe, well-maintained, welcoming home for students, handling routine maintenance and responsive service.

Shifts are Monday to Friday 9am–5:30pm, 40 hours weekly. The role offers £27,500 per year with benefits and a collaborative team culture. Experience in maintenance and health & safety is preferred; you will work with housekeeping and contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, caretaking or facilities management is preferred.
• Strong health & safety awareness and practical problem-solving skills.
• Able to handle a varied workload and work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Delivering an exceptional student experience by being a friendly, approachable presence and responding quickly to maintenance requests.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming communal environment and student rooms.
• Carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrics, and decor in communal areas.
• Working with housekeeping, management and contractors to keep operations running smoothly.
