Food Production Quality Control Specialist

We are looking for a Food Production Quality Control Specialist to help ensure that our food products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for checking raw materials, monitoring production lines, and ensuring products are up to the company’s quality standards. You'll work closely with the production team to fix any issues and make sure everything runs smoothly.

Staffline is recruiting On Line QA auditor in Melton Mowbray.

The rate of pay is:

  • AM Basic £13.64 per hour
  • PM Shift Allowance 5% £14.32 per hour
  • Nights Shift Allowance 23% £16.78 per hour
  • Sunday AM/PM £17.34 per hour
  • Sunday Nights £17.80 per hour

Overtime is available after working 37.5 hours and is paid at £17.05 per hour.

This role offers both full and part time positions, Monday – Friday, 5 out of 7, Weekends Friday -Sunday. The hours of work are:

  • 6.30am to 2.30pm
  • 2.30pm to 10.30pm
Your Time At Work

As an QA auditor your duties include:

  • Conducting On-Line Checks: Perform regular checks on the production line to make sure everything is running as it should and that products meet quality standards.
  • Monitoring Production: Watch over the production process, making sure that safety, hygiene, and quality rules are followed by all staff on the line.
  • Test Products: Check and test samples of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products to make sure they meet safety and quality specifications.
  • Ensure Compliance: Make sure that the products and the production process follow all food safety rules, such as HACCP, and other important regulations.
  • Check Packaging and Labelling: Confirm that the packaging and labelling of products meet regulatory standards and are correctly applied.
  • Train Staff: Help train production line workers on quality control processes and make sure they understand food safety practices.
  • Monitor Equipment: Help maintain and calibrate equipment used for testing and quality checks to make sure it’s working properly.
Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will be able to work on the line, be comfortable working in a production environment, including standing for long periods, wearing protective gear, and working around noise. You will show great attention to detail and be able to spot small problems or issues that might affect product quality.

Applicants will have good communication skills, able to clearly explain issues and work with others to fix problems.

You will have knowledge of Food Safety: Understanding of food safety rules and regulations (HACCP, etc.).

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills for entering data, keeping records, and reporting.

Experience in a similar role is required.
