Job summary

University System of New Hampshire invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate Physics courses and labs starting Fall 2026 at the Manchester campus. Courses include algebra-based Introduction to Physics and calculus-based General Physics; all offerings are 16 weeks and on-campus.

Responsibilities include delivering 3-hour weekly lectures in person, running labs, maintaining course materials in the LMS, and timely grading of exams and reports.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in physics or closely related field.
• Previous college teaching experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Physics including current developments and technologies in the field.
• The ability to teach and mentor students in a laboratory setting is a must.

Responsibilities

• 3-hour weekly lectures, class meets in person for two 1 ½ hour sessions per week; and 2-hour weekly laboratory sessions (50%).
• Maintain course materials through the Learning Management System (LMS) (30%).
• Proctor exams, grade homework and laboratory reports in a timely manner (20%).
