Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Oxford seeks an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to lead both general OMFS and specialist TMJ services. The post includes supervising trainees, delivering a full OMFS remit, and working with Ophthalmology, ENT and Neurosurgery to ensure high‑quality care.

The role supports regional TMJ pathway development and is based at John Radcliffe Hospital with site flexibility.

Qualifications

• Full or temporary GMC registration.
• On the specialist register in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery or within 6 months of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train Specialist Registrars, Foundation year doctors, and Dental Core trainees.
• Provide a comprehensive OMFS service across the Trust and participate in TMJ care.
• Collaborate with Ophthalmology, ENT and Neurosurgery to deliver highquality care.
• Contribute to regional TMJ pathways and guidelines; participate in on-call rota.
