Job summary

WPP Media Limited is seeking an expert OKTA architect to design and govern the identity platform for enterprise-scale applications. You will define tenancy models, SSO/MFA lifecycles and integration patterns while embedding zero-trust security and governance across complex estates.

You will influence engineering and vendors, set design standards, and guide platform direction with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset. Hybrid work and security-focused leadership are core to this role.

Qualifications

• Expert OKTA architecture and identity-platform design.
• Federation, SCIM, OAuth/OIDC and API access management.
• Zero-trust and identity-security architecture.
• Integration design across complex application estates.
• Architecture documentation and design-authority experience.
• Recognised architecture experience in the relevant domain at enterprise scale.
• Relevant architecture or platform certifications (e.g. TOGAF or vendor architect tracks).
• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Sets the target architecture, standards and design patterns for the domain.
• Designs for security, scale, resilience and total cost of ownership.
• Influences engineering and vendor teams without direct authority.
• Balances strategic ambition with pragmatic, deliverable decisions.
• Stays current with platform direction and emerging capability.

Responsibilities

• Design the OKTA architecture, tenancy model and integration patterns.
• Set standards for SSO, MFA, lifecycle and API access management.
• Assure complex integrations and partner-delivered designs.
• Embed zero-trust and security-by-design into the identity platform.
• Advise the product owner on platform direction and roadmap.
• Set the architecture, patterns and guardrails that Kyndryl implements and operates within.
• Assure that partner-delivered designs and changes meet WPP security, resilience and standards.
• Act as design authority and approval gate for partner architecture decisions.
