Job summary

Position 1 Recruitment is partnering with a Norwich-based engineering and manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Project Manager. You will own customer projects from order through to completion, coordinating across Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.

The role demands strong planning, budgeting and communication skills, with exposure to Oil & Gas or Defence sectors being advantageous. A long-term career with professional development awaits.

Qualifications

• HND or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in engineering/manufacturing.
• Strong planning, delivery, budgeting and commercial management.
• Experience or knowledge of Oil & Gas and Defence sectors.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proactive problem solving and decision making.
• Strong attention to detail and drive to completion.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from tender/order through to successful completion.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, monitoring milestones, budgets, risks and progress.
• Manage customer relationships and lead internal and customer project meetings.
• Plan resources and coordinate Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales and other departments.
• Monitor project performance and provide clear updates to customers and management.
• Identify and resolve contractual, commercial and delivery issues.
• Ensure projects meet Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety standards.
• Drive continuous improvement across project processes and delivery.
