Driving Operational Excellence

At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world. You can play your part as a Material Coordinator at our Hinkley Point C site.

This role is part of the MEH Alliance on the Hinkley Point C Nuclear project, coordinating and delivering MEH (Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning) cabling and related support services, across a wide network of rooms within the power station.

This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, based on site at Hinkley Point C.

The role

As a Material Coordinator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance.

Day-to-day, you’ll support the coordination, communication, and control of construction materials to ensure smooth delivery, scheduling and integration across multiple teams and departments.

Responsibilities
  • Attend coordination meetings involving procurement, expediting, and warehouse inventory.
  • Process Material Requests aligned with the 16-week lookahead schedule.
  • Liaise with material package managers, warehouse teams and construction crews to ensure smooth flow of materials.
  • Provide input and visual data to support material forecasting and planning.
  • Collaborate with planning, engineering, logistics and site-wide teams to ensure efficient material handling.
Essential experience
  • Proven track record of material/asset management, ideally in construction or warehouse environments.
  • Strong data and reporting skills, including KPI input and trend analysis.
  • Collaborative and confident working with multiple departments.
  • Experience handling documentation and inventory management systems.

Security Clearance
