The Resource Management Leader is responsible for both short-term and long-term resource planning to deploy skilled technicians to support offshore wind projects. This role works directly with the offshore operations team to understand staffing needs and owns the resource plan to meet those needs. This position has overall responsibility for recruitment, retention, and development of technicians to meet our strategic workforce plans.

Position Summary: The Resource Management Leader is responsible for both short-term and long-term resource planning to deploy skilled technicians to support offshore wind projects. This role works directly with the offshore operations team to understand staffing needs and owns the resource plan to meet those needs. This position has overall responsibility for recruitment, retention, and development of technicians to meet our strategic workforce plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust short-term and long-term resource planning strategies to meet project workforce needs

  • Collaborate with the site operations team to forecast resource needs and build a workforce plan to meet those needs

  • Build weekly, monthly, and longer-term rotation resourcing plans that appropriately incorporate site operations feedback. Ensure plans are aligned and communicate well in advance of deployment

  • Manage suppliers to ensure that staffing plans are integrated/aligned with project needs and capability/capacity commitments are met

  • Establish and maintain effective processes for resource deployment including tools to identify resource gaps, daily management dashboards, and standards for absence management

  • Drive the development of technicians to advanced technician status. Ensure that classroom training and on-the-job training are executed with quality and within the agreed upon plan

  • Lead an organization driving a culture of accountability and effectively coaching team members

  • Drive the creation and utilization of standard work, continuously improve processes, and apply lean to resource management

  • Ensure the timely, accurate, and compliant review and approvals of timecards, employee records, and related items

  • Drive safety and quality culture across the organization

  • Perform other duties as required

Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Operations, Business, or other relevant discipline

  • Prior relevant leadership experience

  • May require ~20% to 40% travel

Desired Skills and Competencies:
  • Experience in offshore wind or relevant marine industry is preferred

  • Prior operational leadership experience

  • Demonstrated strong organizational and planning skills with strong experience in resource management for complex projects

  • Strong communication skills with proven results collaborating with internal and external stakeholders

  • Able to effectively influence and lead in a matrixed environment

  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams including coaching and performance management.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

  • Demonstrated ability to implement change, drive standard work, and improve processes
