Job summary

A leading engineering services provider is seeking a controls technician based in Scotland. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical and hydraulic systems, preferably in subsea operations. Responsibilities include assembling and testing equipment, diagnosing faults, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Qualifications

  • Experience with subsea equipment is preferred.
  • Offshore experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test electrical and hydraulic subsea equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on subsea and topside systems.
  • Carry out electrical testing (IR, continuity, HV/LV, TDR, etc.).
  • Perform hydraulic testing, flushing, and pressure testing.
  • Support offshore activities, including maintenance and testing scopes.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and follow-up actions.
  • Produce clear technical reports and documentation.
  • Work in line with safety, quality, and environmental standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians.

Skills

Practical hands-on experience with electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical systems
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to follow procedures and read engineering documentation
Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Education

Relevant qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering
