Job summary

Jobtailor in Aberdeen is seeking an experienced cost estimator to support offshore and onshore development projects. You will produce investment cost estimates across project phases and input into plans and budgets.

You will use SISTIP ERP, Primavera, Que$tor, Palisade @Risk and MS Project to ensure accurate, auditable cost structures, validate contractor estimates, and support risk analysis. The role requires a Technical Diploma and preferably an Engineering Degree, with Oil & Gas experience

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma in a relevant field.
• Engineering degree preferred.
• Oil & Gas industry experience, onshore and/or offshore.
• Cost estimating experience in CAPEX, OPEX, and decommissioning.
• Cost estimation benchmarking and WBS creation.
• Experience with SISTIP ERP system.
• Project closing process and lessons learned documentation.
• Experience with Primavera, Que$tor, Palisade @Risk, MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Produce investment cost estimates for offshore/onshore development projects across project phases.
• Ensure accuracy of cost structures and cost estimates.
• Validate estimates produced by contractors or third parties.
• Gather and consolidate contributions from Professional Areas for cost completeness.
• Select, develop, and update methods and tools for executing estimates.
• Feed and update databases and perform cross-project analysis.
• Prepare cost estimate breakdown structures.
• Produce the best estimate given available information.
• Participate in and validate cost risk analysis.
• Prepare project cost estimate supporting documentation.
• Supply information to maintain the cost estimate database.
• Develop and update procedures and tools.
• Participate in cross-project analysis.
• Transfer experience within the team.
