Responsibilities
- Perform planned routine and breakdown maintenance on fiscal, environmental, allocation and base management (production) metering equipment and associated instrumentation.
- Monitor metering system performance and data to minimise metering errors.
- Execute routine planned maintenance (PMR) according to client schedules and protocols, including on‑site planning to meet required timescales.
- Complete corrective work identified during normal operations or while performing PMR.
- Record and report mis‑measurements to onshore support staff, supplying accurate and timely data.
- Maintain metering system records offshore, including OGA/fiscal metering logbooks, test equipment certification files, instrument calibration records, metering system drawings, densitometer control charts, change‑outs, turbine meter proving records and control charts.
- Liaise with client representatives onshore and offshore to identify and highlight problem areas and opportunities for improvement to system operation or efficiency.
- Prepare a report for each trip detailing work carried out, faults, corrective work and suggested improvements; provide handover notes for back‑to‑back.
- Coordinate availability of spare parts and equipment for repairs and change‑outs, and schedule offshore repairs to ensure continuity of service.
- Assist auditors, vendors and other third parties during site visits.
Qualifications
- Experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically related to measurement and instrumentation.
- Ability to plan, coordinate and complete routine and non‑routine maintenance and calibration schedules.
- Effective fault diagnosis and problem solving with implementation of remedial/corrective actions.
- HND/degree level in or equivalent engineering or technical discipline.
